I love my sisters and I know they love me. Seems every time I come home there’s another phone call or message telling me so. I guess everyone has heard about Gord and Barb. About the only good thing to say is, no one was hurt. My heart and thoughts go out to them. My thoughts have drifted back to the day, I was playing hockey and we stopped to chase the firetruck back to…. OMG it’s my house. I stood in this crowd of people watching the flames shooting out the side of the house, along the walkway to the backdoor. I remember everybody staring and saying; It’s your house man, look your house is burning until a fireman noticed and then he started asking me questions. How many people in the family? Was anyone home? Do you have pets? For some reason I think the first night after the fire I slept at the Barr’s house but then went to the Dutton’s until we got our house on Dickson Street. How long did we live there? Seemed like only a couple of months and almost burned that place down too. Mom and Dad didn’t even have insurance!! Another good thing to say is Gord and Barb had insurance and from what I heard they were treated well and got a partial settlement the same day. If I paid for insurance I might want the name of their company. My strongest memory of that fire is standing at the front of the classroom when they presented me with money that was raised by the other kids. I think that one scarred me for life.

Number 47 said to number 3…

Did you know yesterday was the anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death? I heard on the radio that he recorded over 800 different songs. Not a good one in the bunch. :o) ahuh huh Thank you, thank you very much. Who hasn’t done an Elvis impersonation in their life?

It was forty years ago today… No that’s not right, it was forty years ago today, august 17, 1966 the Beatles played Maple Leaf gardens. Check out the ticket price on that stub, what a deal. I was six years old.

When I get older, losing my hair, many years from now.

You're the cutest jailbird I ever did see.

Will you still be sending me a valentine, Birthday Greetings, bottle of wine?

You forgot to mention that we lived with Ronnie and Irene Devison before we moved onto Dickson street where the wiring in the one bedroom burnt a hole in the wall. You're right we weren't there very long at all...I think it was only a few months before we moved into Ronnie & Irene's house at 430 Mary St (when they bought their house on the mountain.
wow memories.

Love you
