Happy Groundhog Day!! This is the type of day that I want to re-live over and over again, the vacation day Friday taken for no other reason than to sleep-in… or not. It’s pretty cold out there, couldn’t golf in this weather, at least not very well. I’ll remake the movie Groundhog Day but this time put it on Father’s Day, that’s in June sometime right… much better golfing weather. Well, only two and one half 2006 vacation days left. I just know the first full week that I have to work its going to be like, oh fuck its only Wednesday aahhh!!!! I started this Friday off much like last week, got up, took a shit and shared it with you. Not much else to do. I could go buy some paint and redo my apartment or I could sit here on my ass telling you ive got nothing. Truth is I have a towel holder that broke first year living here and its never been fixed. Can you tell I’m not married? I’m sure I scared this one woman away, on-line when I told her I’m raising John to eat his meals out of the same pot he cooks it in. We were chatting along fine until I said that and then… no reply. hehe Woman just don’t see the rational on time saved, not doing more dishes. Ah I could care less, I really am enjoying my life right now. I like me!!! Toying with the idea of buying a golf membership. The Asian on the corner that folds my underwear from time to time (when the laundromat is really crowded) told me he played over 100 rounds of golf last summer. This is the guy that Sam and I saw at King’s Forest. I think he has a membership for all three Hamilton public courses, King’s Forest, Chedoke Martin and Beddoe which runs about $2400, so you have to play 100 rounds to get your moneys worth, but $24 to play the nicely manicured fairways and greens is a good deal. I could do this and still afford to play a weekend of 126 holes of golf in Muskoka for about the same $24. There’s also a Hamilton public golf course(s) membership that is much cheaper, seven days a week, but you can only golf after four o'clock. Which might not be to bad, depending on the daylight savings time of season. Anyway I originally started this blog to tell you about the mouse the new girl at work found under her desk yesterday morning. It was pretty funny, she let out a low scream that increased with volume as she climbed onto her chair. Another of the girls bolted from the room soon as she realized what was going on. This new place does have a mouse problem. There is poison out for them to eat so we occasionally see a mouse that isn’t acting normal. This mouse was swept into a box with a broom (by a big strong co-worker of mine) after one final, all it’s energy jump to freedom, the little guy was set outside to hopefully freeze to death before his insides painfully rot away. I was thinking a trip to the dollar store for a novelty mouse and some fishing line might go a long way… to getting me fired. But they would talk about me for years. Speaking of the new work location…
For anyone who has never seen my car, That’s it. Funny, when you first buy a certain vehicle model you start to notice them everywhere. Trust me these green ford escort wagons are… everywhere!! There were all kinds of photos to choose from when I just googled it now. Trudy watched as I walked towards my green ford escort wagon in Orillia the day I drove the old gals to Muskoka. Anyway, back to the point (if there ever was one) between my last two cars and the shorter commute to work January’s gas total was $81. My January 2006 gas total was $279, a savings of a whopping $198 in the first month of the year. No wonder I can ponder $2,000 golf course memberships. Ahhh! Life is good… but the weather sucks so as Al Jolson would say, you ain’t heard nothing yet. Really dated myself with a Jolson reference but I recently googled The 1964 Jolson Story and Jolson Sing’s Again movies. I remember watching both movies years ago and liked them but they're never on tv anymore. Anyway I have watched something more recent that I also liked. Found a couple of good English tv comedy shows on alluc.org., Best of the Worst, and Peep Show. I’ve pretty much given up on tv lately. I play on-line poker waiting for my next show to buffer a little more and then watch what I want, when I want. This whole concept must terrify traditional tv executives. Do you think tv will go the way of the video rental store? Anyway I can continue and talk about nothing but I probably lost most of you at happy groundhog day. John’s up now, lurking over my shoulder like he needs the computer. I have a recipe for potato and ham soup, might just try that in the crock-pot, better go jump in the shower. Have a good weekend!!
Any super bowl predictions? Because of my baseless hatred of Peyton Manning’s gigantic head, I have to take seven points and Da Bears!

Wow good thing I'm not tired ... yawn. That was a pretty good post about absolutly nothing.I wasn't sure where you were going then realized you didn't either. Had to reread the asian guy folding the underwear because I still think I'm reading it wrong. Oh well ... Now I don't know where I'm going so I'll just say GO BEARS !!! Not a huge fan of NFL so will take the underdog.
